Logic behind Random_ZZ_p function in NTL library

I am trying to use the NTL library to select random values from integers modulo p, Zp. I am fairly new to programming for mathematical objects and I am trying to understand the logic behind the Random_ZZ_p function in the ZZ_p.cpp file. Can someone help?
