Responsive random image gallery

Hello and happy new year to all.

Im currently trying to code a photography portfolio, and i am trying to lay it out like this: https://www.willysheepskin.com/

How would i go about making the random placement and sizes of the images, and furthermore how can I make it all responsive?

I have tried doing it image by image, and making it responsive with media queries for each image, but it seems a bit tedious.
