VHDL Wave Modulation

I am soon going to start a project on wave modulation/demodulation in VHDL on an FPGA board, specifically the Basys-3. I'll have to generate values according to a specification, a few of the switches will offer an 'error select' where I manually add errors in the form of a PRNG and then in the 'demodulation' block I will have to sort the data and output it on the 7-seg. displays.

I have previously skim-read the book 'Free Range VHDL' and the Basys-3 Manual for previous projects but I wanted to expand that portfolio.

Could anyone recommend some reading?
