I would like to create a random image generator on a Squarespace page and would be very grateful if anyone had some ideas how to set this up. I personally am not familiar with javascript coding, but am working with a developer that would help implement any code that is recommended.
In brief, I already have four photo galleries in Squarespace (gallery 1, gallery 2, gallery 3, gallery 4) and each gallery has 100 images.
What I'd like to do is create a new page consists of 4 photo frames and a button that has a function such as "generate random images". When the user clicks the button, photo frame one will be filled with one randomly generated image from gallery 1, photo frame two will be filled with one randomly generated image from gallery 2, photo frame three will be filled with one randomly generated image from gallery 3, and photo frame four will be filled with one randomly generated image from gallery four.
If the user clicks the button again, the process will repeat and four new images will be generated from the 4 galleries.
I've seen some solutions that seem to involve having to type in the names of each image or image number into the code, which would take forever. Does anyone have a pre-existing code to do this that recognizes the gallery page containing a large set of images? (like a folder)
This seems pretty straightforward (and it seems that many people wish to have a similar capability in SS), but I haven't seen a simple solution!
Many thanks in advance.
