This is not a specific technical question, but I don't know whether or not I should consider mobile or web engineering as a tool. What I mean is is mobile engineering, for example, just a tool for getting information to a user, and that tool is not as relevant anymore. Now that software engineers are more popular, is it worth learning these web, mobile, or desktop application languages or is machine learning and ar/vr the way to go. What I am getting at is basically this: "Will software engineering get you anywhere anymore or is machine learning the software engineering of 10 years ago?" Thank you for taking the time to read my question.
