getting a random sample from an unknown distribution

I have a set of data. I need to first find the continuous distribution that fits them better than other distributions. Then I need to get a random sample from said distribution and I want my code to automatically find the distribution and get a sample from it. I can find the distribution that fits them best from continuous distributions in SciPy. But then I don't know how to get a sample from it.
