Generating list of 2 variables in random repetition interval in range 1 to 3 in Python

I need to generate a random list of "X" and "O" symbols in a spreadshit for my experiment. The sum should be 200 togoether (100 X's and 100 O's). There shouldn't be more then three same symbols in a row - i am new the python so i am struggeling with. It can be in Python or in R. I am thankful for any help.
