how to combine two variables randomly python [closed]

I was wondering how to combine variables randomly. for instance:

var1 = abcd
var2 = fghi
# somehow combine the two
combined = afgbhcid

or something along those lines. I am new to python so if you could help me out, that will be great! thanks!
