Android Studio program was working, and now it doesnt

I am facing an error on android studio. I have been working on an assignment and for the past week, with everything going according to plan. Today I added some small code and the build executes, however, it force closes the app. I tried running a previous version (which I am SURE that worked) and it's giving me the same error in logcat.
