is there anyway to choose random element from list and cannot choose it back until certain time ends

anyone knows how to define a function which takes random element from a list and cannot choose that element again until certain time ends , For Example: Suppose an object of io.TextWrapper that is type list contain 100 elements in it and our function choose randomly one and cannot choose until certain times ends
