Generate a random number with specific standard deviation and mean

Hi i would like a few question regarding c#. I have do it in matlab but in c# i have no idea. I need to create a normal distribution. Please help

1)how is it possible to create a random number from 1-8 and set my desire mean and standard deviation.

2)Am i able to set my mean and standard deviation for a word. I have 3 words. Small Medium and large?
