Random numbers into an array

I am looking to create an array that holds a range of numbers and in the array I want to store the time it appeared when being randomly generated. So for example, if the number 3 came up the 4th time around, I want to store in the 3 spot of the array a 4 indicating it took 4 tries to get a 3.
