Show random sentences from a list as you press a button in android [on hold]

i need to show random sentences from a list as you press a button in android. I know this is easy, but I don't have time to study all the basics as i need this like right now. Can someone just point me in the right direction or help me with the code? I only know standard Java and i feel like a whale in the desert here.
